Brick + Mortar was an installation art show curated by Gravy Studio and photographer, Billy Cress. Cress showcased his collection of photographs of abandoned properties in Philadelphia, PA and Chester, PA. Search & Rescue and I were called in to assist with adding a physical dynamic to the show. Our goal was to bring the environments in these photographs to life.

I created a separate theme for each wall in Gravy Studio based on the photographs featured. The main wall was very layered creating a very rundown effect, but transitioned to a more minimal tone throughout the rest of the space. Along with the use of nostalgically patterned wallpaper, plants, and ivy I also added pieces of lockers and old chairs to completely immerse the spectator into the featured environment.
